The combat knife is the quietest kill on the field. A takedown from behind is instant and silent — no muzzle flash, no minimap ping, no warning to the enemy's teammates. In the right hands it's less a weapon than a way to make a defender simply disappear.
It rewards patience and positioning: get behind someone unaware and the fight is already over.
Instant and soundless from behind; a gamble from the front. There is no recoil and no range — only the read on whether you can close the last few metres unseen.

A back takedown is instant and silent. Flank wide, wait for their attention to turn, and cross the last stretch without a sound.
Silence the sniper
Nothing clears a backline nest quieter. No shot means no alert — their squad never knows the sniper's gone until they need him.
Never the front duel
Head-on, a knife loses to any gun. If they're facing you, break off and find the angle instead of charging.
